Diana Mbambi is 22 years old and recently graduated in Broadcast Journalism. Aside from that she suffers from a serious long term illness called Sickle Cell Anaemia. Sickle Cell Anaemia is an inherited blood disorder, where the red blood cells, which carry oxygen around the body develop abnormally.
During her time at uni I had the opportunity to produce a TV documentary on Sickle Cell for my final year project to bring education and understanding of Sickle Cell to the masses. Since September is Sickle Cell Awareness month we are supporting Diana by uploading this video on our page. To bring awareness to many and as there may be many other students who suffer from this disease and would relate to the documentary.
We hope you enjoy.
